Hello Everyone,

I have posted a few pics of my ride in the gallery. I am not the master
photographer some other members are, but you get the general idea
about my ride.

I bought my mtx 6i sport in Feb of 2007 and almost immediately started modding.
Funds and the desire to keep the factory warranty intact limited my options.
So far I have done the following:

HSV-GT Voltage system
Clear Side Markers
Bose Sub Pre-amp Mod
Window Tint
Mazdaspeed CAI
Sharkfin Antenna
Aux-Fan Mod
Custom Axel Back Exhaust
Color Matched Windshield Washer Nozzels

I was hoping to extract more power from my car with these modest
changes, but my best dyno pull was 133hp/140tq

You can view my ride from the link below:

Pre Amp mod?

Yes, the bose sub in stock form is almost impossible to hear. Turning up the bass just vibrates the door speakers.
This mod increases the signal going to the bose amp and thus allows you to actually hear the sub in action. I
currently have the bass set at -2.

wonder if its the same on the speed3 i dont think it is though..

Nice car buddy. I love white. That was my first choice of color but due to me being poor http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/56e886b.gif I had to take what they were gonna give me.... Anyways... So is your car ATX or MTX? How are you liking that MS intake? Thats my next big mod that I wanna get...

I didn't notice any gains from the CAI, but it does feel like it revs faster now.

MTX or ATX?

Hey, what's the AUX-Fan mod?

My car is a 5 speed mtx.

The aux fan mod was designed by a member on another site for the mazda6 4cyc and 6cyc. From the factory the
car engages the aux fan for engine cooling when engine temps reach over 210 degrees. The original aux fan mod
had a sensor that would engage the aux fan at 180 degrees. There is a new aux fan mod with is adjustable, you
can set it to a temp you would like. Once the engine gets hot, it can feel sluggesh and bog down. The benefit to
having this mod is to minimize or eliminate this and allow for more consistent performance.

Damn ,, see I have the ATX and I wanna see someone else in this area that has a ATX and is running the MSCAI with out having any problems with it,, cause its suppose to NOT work on the ATX and only the MTX..

For some reason, I think Mazda just warranted it on the MTX and not the ATX. Not positive, but I know of others that weren't having problems with the MS CAI on the ATX.

Ya thats what I hear to,, and I really dont think it will be a problem,, but I was just wanting to see or hear it first from a local member before I went out and got one myself..

MazdaTom

Just a guess, but the ATX is probably larger or shaped such that it interferres with where the MSCAI is routed. If someone else has one locally, see if they will let you test fit it on your car.

And that's cool about the aux fan mod. On my Saturn, wiring a on/off switch in the cabin was a common mod to make.

I remember reading that part of the reason there are vents in the wheel well was to help cool the auto tranny. If that was the case
I am not sure why I have the same vents.... perhaps at the next meet the mtx/atx could compare engine bay layouts for fun. http://coloradomazdaclub.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/5e73a009.gif

sorry i missed your post... been too busy drinking... leeme know here you posted about
your ex and I will be all over that... ;)

My exhaust, a custom axle back, was done at a place on colfax called Exhaust Pros.
I picked the mufflers there and brought tips to be used.

I think Greek8 (jimmy) knows a place that might be able to give you a deal.
