The Cobb Tuning Accessport is a multi-featured ECU reprogramming device for your Mazdaspeed3. The Accessport comes pre-loaded with multiple ECU software maps for various modification levels of your Mazdaspeed3. As Cobb continues to test and tune their Mazdaspeed3, new and revised maps will be available to download free of charge for Accessport owners. If your tuning needs stray from Cobb's pre-tuned maps, you have the option of taking your car to a Cobb certified 'Pro-Tuner' for a fully customer dyno or street tune, maximizing the performance gains from any modification (coming soon for the Mazdaspeed3). Your MS3 can easily be returned to stock at any time, as the Accessport retains your factory base map.
In addition, the Cobb Tuning Accessport functions as a scan tool, diagnosing and clearing check engine lights (CELs) and other vehicle parameters. The Accessport's color display allows the user to display a variety of parameters including dynometer testing and real time data. Best of all, the Cobb Accessport connects via the under-dash OBDII diagnostic port, meaning you don't have to pick up a tool or even open your hood to install it. Installation takes about 10 minutes and your ready to go!

The Mazdaspeed3 ECU is limited to approximately 100 base program flashes. Typically, reflashing can only be done a certain amount of times before the ECU is rendered unusable. However, the engineers at Cobb Tuning have figured out a way around this by using realtime maps. When you attach Cobb's Accessport to your MS3 ECU, you can load a base map as your ECU's standard program. Then you can load any real-time map you want at any time, on top of this map, without using the ECU's flash memory. This means that you can have a base map for daily driving, and real time fuel economy and race gas maps that you can switch to whenever you want without reducing your ECU's flash life.
